So quit possibly the biggest news in geek history was announced today, and even for non-geeks, unless you live on the planet that is furthest from the bright center to the universe, you most likely heard about the deal in which George Lucas sold the rights to Star Wars (and all of the Lucasfilm empire) to Disney for an amount of money that can be seen from a galaxy far, far away: 4 billion dollars! Bottom line, Star Wars is now in the hands of Disney, and this is a very good thing, although judging by social media updates, not everyone is happy about this deal.

The official Trailer for "Texas Chainsaw 3D"
Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees, and Michael Myers have all had reboots so it’s only fitting that Leatherface gets his turn. (Oh wait, they already rebooted Leatherface in 2003?...Well, I guess nobody watched that one so they’re going to try it again.) The story of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is about to be retold (again) with the upcoming “Texas Chainsaw 3D” coming out early next year. Now you can just save yourself that trip to the Home Depot to see a 3D chainsaw by simply spending $13 bucks for a movie ticket to see one on the big screen.

Joe Carnahan's Daredevil movie teaser footage
Writer and director Joe Carnahan is letting everyone know just how excited he was to be working on rebooting Daredevil for another shot at the big screen. He just released a really cool “sizzle piece”, as he put it, showing his concept for the film.

As someone that was a huge fan of the first "Red Dawn" film the idea of a remake is somewhat of a sacrilege, but I know that done right and with modern technology, a remake could be just as awesome. I had high hopes when I heard Chris Hemsworth was cast as the lead and now after seeing the official trailer it looks like they’ve raised the bar from where the first movie had set it.
